Since our establishment in February 2005, Hi-Power Racing has experienced rapid expansion – growing from a small retail shop selling Japanese performance parts to a fully equipped tuning and performance workshop in Slacks Creek, south of Brisbane.
We now build and service more than 450 cars a year, and are continuing our expansion with plans to upgrade to a 4WD dyno. Hi-Power Racing currently holds 20% of the performance market in Brisbane and is aiming to capture another 20%~30% of this market in the future.
We have a team of fully qualified mechanics, all of whom are dedicated to bringing you top service and reliability – we pride ourselves in giving honest and upfront advice to every customer, so that we can achieve the best outcome for each car.
We treat every customer’s car like our own – we believe in using quality products in all our customers’ cars, and do not sell parts which we will not use in our own cars..

Although Ivan is a qualified Civil Engineer, he decided to follow his heart and chose to start a career in something he really enjoyed doing.
Ivan has been a car enthusiast since he was 9, having grown up in a family owned racing workshop in Singapore. His involvement in racing teams overseas and locally has given him valuable insight into building successful race teams. His family’s active involvement in motor sport racing in the past has provided Ivan with a wealth of knowledge and close contacts with workshops overseas. These allow Hi-Power Racing to share valuable engineering know-how with Japanese companies like JUN Auto and JIC, resulting in HPR-built cars more superior to others.

A dedicated and earnest member, Adrian’s keen appetite to learn new things has enabled him to pick up things really quickly. driving his laurel and drifting it occasionally on our local tracks shows his love and passion for motorsports. Adrian remains positive and calm even when faced with challenging projects. just a hint if you ever want Adrian to stay back and do some extra work on your car when the doors are shut; dont offer to pay him money instead go get a slab of Jack Daniels and Coke.

The Latest member in the team, Having Worked in Honda and BIG GUN RACING, Tim brings with him a great racing knowledge that will benefit our customer. Being slightly OCD and very friendly ensures that tim will not miss any slight details or issues that may arise from your car. one of the best mechanics in the market, tim is definitely very important part of Team HPR.

Ling’s involvement in HPR since its infancy has been crucial to our success. The backbone of this company, Ling does the dirty work no one else wants to do “the Accounts”. Her practical foresight helps balance out Ivan’s occassional bouts of insanity.the only staff at Hi-Power Racing that can cook a decent meal, you can be sure tat she will be minding the money tilt and the Barbecue Pit on our DYNO DAYS.
