THE BUILD, THE JOURNEY

The same car as we bought it.
01/07/2007 BUYING THE CAR
The S15 nissan we cought from japan, this car is an non-turbo automatic, we choose this model because we didnt want a s15 with a sunroof, and being automatic and non turbo we actually got this car relatively cheap.

25/08/2007 STRIPPING THE CAR
It took us close to month to total strip the car back to bare metal, all the soundproofing, silicons in between the chassis panels were ripped out. no more windows, no more nothing, no fun!

we welded 3 trolley wheels so we could move the car around.. inspired by tuk tuks in thailand! car is finally ready for some body modification.

cutting out the wheel tunnel allows for extra lock, prevents the wheels from scrubbing onto the arches..

Seam Welding the entire car

The entire car was seam welded and stiched together.

Rear boot modified
REAR TRUNK MODIFIED
The rear trunk was modified to allow for the fuel cell and to prevent fuel fumes from entering the cabin of the car.

Rollcage modification
19/12/2007 CUSTOM 13PT CUSCO ROLL CAGE WELDED IN
Front hoops of the rollcage was welded in. The main focus of the rollcage was to stiffen up the chassis of the car and also ensure that the driver would be safe in an event of any crashes.

we didnt wanted to go spastic on the rollcage because the car will never see hill climbs or rally.we wanted the rollcage as light as possible only adding bars that are essential to strengtening the chassis without compromising the safety of the driver. polyurethane foam were also added to the seams, rails of the car to help stiffen it.

07/01/2008 BBQing THE CAR AND POLY-URETHANING THE RAILS
the car was then put on our in house Chassis Rotissery so that we could weld up the bottom panels and to allow Poly-urethane foam to be poured into all the seals, this foam expands and makes the rails stronger and more rigid. During this time we also made provison for the air-jacks by adding RHS linking the rails to the supports for the air-jacks.

Chassis modification on the car has been completed now. the car was sand blasted, primed and ready for it's coat of paint.

11/04/2009 REAR CRADLE IN
Fitting the rear cradle, diff, and air-jacks. see in picture reinforcing for air-jacks sleeves.

Tilton floor pedals were test fitted and bolted onto place.

Test fitting turbo and engine
TEST FITTING ENGINE and TURBO
we dummy fitted a used SR20det and put on the turbo to make sure it clears the front tubbs and also this gave us a better understanding of how the intercooler piping and intake piping should be run.



INTERCOOLER, OIL COOLER
mounting the ARE intercooler and oil cooler making sure it clears the front bar, making arrangements for the piping etc.

 


JUN ENGINE IN
the 800hp Engine is then put in to the engine bay. also in the picture is the koyo radiator, exhuast side intercooler, Greddy Turbo kit, and JUN intake plenum.hks fuel rai and sard 1000cc injectors

 

  TREMEC 6 speed Gearbox
  The tremec 6 speed Gearbox is then fitted to the engine and the rear cradle. note the bell housing had to be modified to fit the JUN engine. V8 box mate!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 INTERCOOLER PIPING, PROJECT MU BRAKE KIT
We next proceeded to fit up the brake kit, and fabricated the intercooler piping.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  INTERIOR IN
Bride seats, Takata harnesses, Tilton Hydralic Handbrake, Pivot Stepping Gauges, Motec Dash and shiftlights. "im not getting into this car without bucket seats and Harnesses!"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 AIR VENTS and AIR pump
the setup allows air to be pumped into the car, cooling te driver, and passanger. also in this picture JIC REAR STRUT BRACE CARBON.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

RASTY CARBON BOOT, Webersports CARBON Bonnet, Rear diffuser, Yashio Factory lights.
Fitting the Bonnet, and rear carbon boot to the car, the flush bonnet pins are really hard to install!
